should I use the asus ai suite 3 app? or just stick to the bios? also does anyone have a opinion on the intel extreme tuning utility program?

Stick to BIOS, software just alters the BIOS through its own methods and is usually inaccurate or poor in terms of tweaking.

Same deal.
Their stress test isn't great either.
Stick to BIOS, Unigine Heaven and Aida 64/Prime95.
