i hit 90+ while playing any game like dota 2 or whatever.

-i only have a 6cm fan on my case apart from the cpu stock cooler

i just updated my i3 2100 (maximun 75 while playing) had thermal paste.
to an i5 2500 (maximun 95 while playing) no thermal paste.
on iddle my temperature is 50 to 59

im sure i put well my cpu stock cooler because when i tried to removed it , it barely moves.

  1. If you're saying you upgraded your CPU and there's no thermal paste, then that's your problem..you have to have thermal paste.

i asked on facebook and they said that thermal paste is only a intermadiate between the cooler and the cpu that all depends on your cooler

You need thermal paste to fill the air gaps between the two pieces of metal. If you don't have it, heat won't get transferred very effectively from the CPU to its cooler. You should be able to find thermal paste pretty cheap. Even many higher-end thermal pastes can be found for around $5 for a small tube, which should be enough for multiple CPU installations.

Also, by "6cm" fan, do you mean 6cm from the center, or completely across? A fan that's only 6cm across would likely be inadequate for cooling most computers.

well is a generic case that came with an old core 2 duo , the fan is very tiny , is located in the back of the case.
