Can I use an Nvidia GPU to game and use an AMD GPU to record games?

I am planning to upgrade my RX 470 OC @1400mHz to an Nvidia card but am not a big fan of Nvidia and do not want a RX470 to go to waste so I want to use AMD Relive to record games is this possible?

That won't work, Relive only captures the AMD's frame buffer, basically it records what the AMD is playing & not anything else. The same goes for Nvidia's shadowplay, except it only records what the Nvidia is playing.
