Game servers show high ping but I get low ping.

Hi! I play a wide range of games and all the games that show server lists will always present servers with pings from 150-600 (avg. 300). But when I go into a server, I will get 20-80 ping (US server) in most cases. Here is my speedtest;

I run perfectly on servers but it's just really annoying to see a server list with inaccurate ping on all my games. I run ethernet btw. Is there a way to fix this? Thanks!

No you don't understand. When I LOOK at a server for any game, it shows a 100+ ping. But when I actually get IN the server and start playing, I check my ping on the server and it will be very low, not giving me any issue.

My issue is not that I have high ping, my issue is the fact that when i ping servers in a server list, it shows high ping.

I also live in Texas so you guys know.

That would be their main server .. that sorts things up like match making , players stats and etc. it could be further away from the server you actually play on . that's the explanation for the ping difference.

But then why does my friend who lives near me get LEGITIMATE ping reads on servers before he joins? This is not all these games doing this to my client. This issue is on my side and I know it. I just need to know how to solve it. Thanks
