i recently replaced my hdd since the other one didnt work anymore on my laptop, it worked perfect for a while until i got to anar londo in dark souls 1 (certain area of the game) my screen froze and it said "display adapter stopped working and recovered" but it didnt recover so had to reboot it everytime it happned, only now it also did it the moment i started up dark souls and sometimes i get the BSOD. i tried installing the acer official driver for this laptop since i downloaded the latest before and read somewhere that dowloading the acer official might work. while installing the driver for my geforce 940m at a certain point my screen froze again except for my curser. please help me
thanks in advance :)

if you mean a display driver uninstaller, then yes i have tried that. i have also tried deleting everything manually and i mean EVERYTHING. i have disabled my dedicated gpu now since the screen went completely black while booting 9 out of 10 times. i am now using the integrated graphics but that is ofc a shame since i would like to game. i have also tried a factory reset which didn't change my problem. it seems to be a hardware problem but i do find that hard to believe since i only have my laptop for about nine months and it is a relatively new model; acer aspire e5-573g
i appreciate you taking the time to answer, if you have any kind of idea of what i can still do please let me know :D
