Low ping in speed test, high in game and ts

Hi guys, when i do a speed test, i get 11 ping and normal download and upload, but in games like csgo i get 80-100 ping. i also get 80-100 ping in teamspeak. I am using wireless but that has never been a problem. someone help please

Try choosing a server in the speedtest menu that is in the same city as csgo server if you know where it is.

I would leave a constant ping run to 8.8.8.8 This ip actually is duplicated many cities and it will pick the one closest to you. What you want to see is if the ping is steady. The actual number does not matter a lot since that is mostly distance related. If it jumps around a lot then I would try it wired but if it is consistent then there is not a lot you can do. You have no issues in your house and your connection to your ISP has no issues. Any problems would be far away from your house so not much you can do to fix problems that you do not have control over.

When you do a speedtest, you're connecting to the closest possible server typically. When you play CSGO and use TS, you're using a different server likely much further away. Being on the Wifi certainly does not help your situation, and you could probably reduce your ping by hardwiring, but your ping is high because the server you're connecting to is likely much further than the speedtest server
