So i have my R5 1600x set to 1.45V with a 4.0 overclock on 3200mhz OCed ram and am currently playing around with benchmarks, Sadly it wont go past 4.0 without increaseing past 1.45 which im unwilling to do and was unstable at 4.0 until i pushed it to 1.45v.

So far my average cenibench score is 1365 with my best at 1412 and worst at 1299 and its not crashing after 21 runs, My temps in aida64 seem to be hovering around 55-60C under cpu stress only after 15 mins (test is still running and i plan to leave it for at least 8 hours) with a ambient of 22C.

Im curious if these are above or below average? This is my first major OC so im not sure what to expect.

Solution
1.45 seems a tad bit high voltage, AMD's recommendations were a max of 1.4 V I think. 1.45 V is recommended with high-end coolers. If you have a high-end cooler(which looks like the case considering your temps) then you can keep the overclock, and yes it's a good overclock for any Ryzen chip, X or non-X. 4.1 is rare, only if you hit the Si lottery would you get 4.1, otherwise most people have to settle between 3.8 and 4.0 GHz. I'd say keep it at this and lower the voltage to the lowest stable value.

There's other threads as well, most say 1.4-1.45 is safe, above that you'll be degrading the CPU pretty fast.

I tried dropping the voltage under 1.45 but the cpu goes beserk about 6 mins into adia64 and just shuts the whole system down, As for a cooler i have the dual fan hyper 212 X with arctic silver thermal paste so not quite noctua or aio level but not bad either.

Aye i was hopeing for 4.1 or 4.2 but im not willing to use an AIO and dont have the room for a noctua d15 so ill take what i can get, As for a 4.0 overclock what are some standard benches to compare my rig to?
