I already have a LGA 1150 motherboard but not LGA 1151. Considering performance for money which should I get?

Solution
You'd get better price/performance for the i7-4770K, simply because 1) its a very powerful CPU capable of handling a GTX 1080/1080Ti (same as the i5-7600K), 2) you won't need to buy a new motherboard, 3) you won't need to buy DDR4 RAM, which the 7th-gen CPU requires, 4) you won't hassle updating all your drivers, OS, etc., 5) you won't have to remove all your components out of the case and put it back in.

The i5-7600K is, no doubt, a more powerful CPU in terms of effective speed (~20% more based on http://cpu.userbenchmark.com/Compare/Intel-Core-i7-4770K-vs-Intel-Core-i5-7600K/1537vs3885) and a much newer architecture. But the costs of such CPU + the motherboard + the RAM + the hassles are probably not worth it compared to just...

Of course, that entirely depends on how much you are going to buy the i7-4770K for.
