Using onboard graphics? In your BIOS you should be able to set the amount attributed to the graphics aspect of the chip (there will be a limit though) - you should be able to assign 1GB, but I wouldn't recommend going any higher with only 4GB total available.

you should be lucky you have an option to get the vram up that high. if this is a desktop PC then get a dedicated GPU.
