Is it possible to even match CL16 with CL14(kit lying around from earlier build)?

Wondering if this is possible at all

Possible.
If two disparate sticks run together at all, they will run at the specs of the lowest stic and must match in cas, voltage, and speed.

If you have one, try it and see.
