So I've just built my new gaming PC, and I have a bit of a problem. I have 8gb of ram installed, but Windows goes and says only 4gb is usable. It's extremely frustrating since I can't get the full potential while playing games.
My specs
GPU: AMD Radeon RX-460 (2gb)
CPU: AMD FX-6350 FX-Series 6-Core Black Edition
Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-78LMT-ST
OS: Windows 10 Pro (64-bit)
RAM: Crucial 8GB (2x4GB) PC3-12800 240 PIN DDR3 SDRAM Memory #CT51264BA160BJ

I've tried almost everything on the internet and I can't find any solution, unless this is unfixable.

Thanks in advance.

you should try each stick individualy then check to make sure each stick works properly. also when you instal them they install in pairs like bank 0-1--0-1

not 00-11

in other words when you instal them instal the second stick and skip a space

I agree with his post. Try individual DIMMS and check your motherboard manual to confirm which ports to install the memory into.
