Discoloration on my EKWB water block???

Reapplying TP while taking the loop apart to add a GPU. Seems like there is discoloration inside. Might have been there before? Might be how it is supposed to look? Anything to cause concern before I put it back together?

What type of liquid do you use?

Just looks like the acrylic is dirty from routine use. Nothing serious.

I agree this looks like acrylic that is a little worn from use and heat. If you used any additives or special fluids they could be the cause as well....or if you ran straight distilled water it could be micro growth algae and/or other microbes. Did you flush your system regularly?

Straight distilled. Made the loop in January. Drained and refilled the loop because of a cracked block. Only had this block for a month. Maybe it's been two?

Should be more specific after reading your responses. I am noticing that sort of yellow/copper color in the corners and it's a nickel/acrylic block.

outside the acrylic? That is the nickle reacting with heat and other elements causing it to tarnish. you can do a quick search on google and see it is a common thing.

Nickel is nickel - it's not like it'll change just because of where it's being used.

It was just about nickel as stated above. Almost everything tarnishes. Your waterblock is nickle and it is exposed to air where it is tarnished.
