In the lower right corner of your Asus Z270E motherboard, you will find a 17-pin header, labelled as "PANEL" for your case's front panel cables to connect to:
ASUS-ROG-Strix-Z270E-15.JPG

Such header is laid out like this:
[o][o][o][o][x][o][o][o][o][o]
[o][o][o][o][o][o][x][o][x][o]
The [o] denotes the pins while the [x] denotes there is no pin.

Make sure that the case's "POWER LED +" cable (a 1-pin cable) and the "POWER LED -" cable (also a 1-pin cable) is plugged in these pins correctly (not the other way around):

[o][o][o][o][x][o][o][o][o][o]

The POWER LED + (at the first pin, left-most) and the POWER LED - (at the second pin at the right) are the cables that light up your power button as well as the front logo of your case.

While your at it, check also your case's "HDD LED" cable (a 2-pin cable) if it is plugged in at correct + and - orientation in the header:

[o][o][o][o][x][o][o][o][o][o]
[o][o][o][o][o][o][x][o][x][o]

^- the positive side (denoted at the cable with an arrow), should be the one at the left; the negative side should be the one at the right.
