So around 2 months ago, I upgraded my gpu from a 1050 to a 1050 ti, and the night prior I had windows 10 creators update install. When I put in my new gpu I was getting on average in csgo (using a specific benchmark test for all averages) around 250 fps. The next day it went down to 150, which I figured out was because of windows 10 creators update game booster, and I quickly disabled it. When I had done that, my fps was at 225 Average. So I reinstalled an older version of windows 10 and had the same issue. Today, I just received my 1060 6gb gpu, and when I tested it on the benchmark, the same results occurred. Ranging in the 225 area. So this led me to assume that I had some sort of bottleneck. However, when I checked my cpu temperature and usage, they seemed perfectly normal. I run all my games off an ssd so I don't really see why there would be a hard drive bottleneck. This isn't a issue with the benchmark test either, since the other games I play have around the same fps as before too. What is strange is that a specific part of the benchmark test I use comes to a part where there is smoke. I usually averaged around 50 fps with both the 1050/ 1050 ti. But whenever I use the 1060 I average 120 in that area. This seems like the perfect scenario for a bottleneck, but my cpu temp remains at 60 Degrees Celsius, while the usage is around 80 percent. My Processor is an i3-6100, which I am aware that some very cpu intense games can bottleneck this processor. But like I said, no known bottleneck has been spotted.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
