Just as the title suggests. I have used a couple of mechs a friend of mine has and I definitely prefer his corsair keyboard that has the cherry mx red keys over the razer one with the really clicky switches (can't remember which switches it had).

I know a lot of mechs have a lot of bells and whistles like led lighting, macro keys, and multimedia keys, but my wife and I have never used any of those things and I don't play any games that macro keys would be nice for. I do play some games though like warframe which is a 3rd person shooter... thing.

About the only thing I'm looking for is a simple black keyboard with either cherry mx reds or maybe silver. Also it has to have a number pad cause it's annoying to be without one.

I've heard good things about ducky keyboards too, but I can't seem to find them.

I want to try to keep the price below $100.

I have heard nothing but good things about Ducky, so if you are comfortable with getting one, go ahead. I have never personally used Ducky before so I can't vouch for them. I use a Corsair Strafe RGB with MX Browns and the only problem I have with it is that randomly a key led will change but only for a second. I would tell you to go with Logitech or Corsair. The keyboards in...
You could try a Logitech G610. I bought a G810 after some research and I am astonished with the Romer G keys they have. The difference from the G610 is the RGB lighting basically.
Tried a lot of keyboards with the Cherry switches and I only really liked the MX Silent ones in a really expensive corsair keyboard.. then I tried the Logitech ones and was very surprised. Go to a local store and tap a few keys on different keyboards to get a feel.
Only thing on my keyboard is that I had to buy a wrist rest because I found to be more confortable with one. Allways use low profile membrane keyboards..

Stick to Cherry MX Red/Blue/Speed switches.
I prefer the blues as they're the most tactile, clicky and provide a good balance imo.
Take your pick.

I really don't care for the blues. They're too loud for my liking. I'll take a look at the silvers and reds.

The keyboards in stores usually feel wore down becuase they have been up for sometime. If you feel comfortable spending an extra $10, I would get a Corsair because they are usually really good with quality products.
