Right now I am using the Corsair Void (I think I've had it for a year and a half), and I really don't like it. It's a very loose, uncomfortable, and I don't think the sound quality is that great (got it faulty?). And ever since I bought it the microphone couldn't stay in a certain position, it would just fall back down. And now it's completely broken. I don't know much about headsets at all. I was told to get either the Sennheiser Game Zero or the Astro A50, but I know there are better options out there. A mic with the headset would be fine, but I'm also open to one without a microphone and getting a separate mic (Would be nice to what mic to get with). Thank you!

Grab these @OP, easily the best in your price range, worth saving for, for sure.
The K712s scale really well with a good amp and pack a punch for the money, beats out the HD 650s imo, as the latter is a little too neutral.
Save another $35 up and grab the Modmic 4.0 or 5.0.

If you're looking for a low profile headset, any Astro is definitely the way to go. But, if you're looking for just an overall best headset, I really have to recommend the Razer Kraken 7.1 Chroma. It has GREAT sound quality, the mic is stellar and very customizable in Razer's synapse program, it's incredibly comfortable, AND you get LEDs in it with about every color out there (16.8 million color choices, to be exact).

Guys, this is a higher price range, all headset audio quality is very similar.
The Kraken in particular is probably the headset with the worst sound quality, a cramped soundstage, literally only bass and a garbage mic.
I run a store, I know what it sounds like.
The LEDs are literally its only selling point, epitome of Razer as a company.

Should I have a nice on board sound card? I have the Z170A M5 and I'm not entirely sure if it could give the full experience. Or would the headset come with some device that helps? (I'm really not that knowledgeable about PC audio and such yet, it's understandable if I sound confusing).

Alright I'll look at it a bit more, I'll probably order it. And I'll probably grab a different microphone, I kinda want something away from my face for a change. Thank you for all of your suggestions!
