Is my graphics card good enough

Solution
Stick with your current GTX 1050 Ti. If you want to upgrade, you should be looking at a significant increase in performance. The R9 280, aside from being more power-hungry and older, would peform graphically similar in some scenarios compared to the GPU you already have: http://gpu.userbenchmark.com/Compare/Nvidia-GTX-1050-Ti-vs-AMD-R9-280/3649vs2241. So, buying such card to replace your current one is not worth it - unless you are thinking of an RX 580 or GTX 1060-6GB and above.
