How Can I improve My Wireless Network

Hi,

First of all, it's my 1st time posting here so I'm not sure if the topic is completely relevant to what I'm about to ask, so I apologize if it is not. I live in a third world country (somewhere in Africa) and the ISP I'm currently on uses a shared network. They used to offer 3G but recently they began implementing 4G in many areas and as such I switched to their 4G because while on their 3G, I used to experience slow connectivity during the day that only got slower until at night. When I did a ping test, the ping hadn't changed but continually had timed out sessions every few seconds and downloads were getting limited from 300-500kbps to 60-70kbps. It's only during the weekends that such issues were not common. For the switch to their 4G, I had to buy one of their routers (Huawei LTE CPE B315) and that's what Im currently using, on a single PC and no other devices connected to it. Now after only a few days of use, I realized that their 4G had the same issue as their 3G during the day, whereby speeds get slower during the day (60-70kbps) with various timed out sessions when doing a ping test on cmd and was only fine during the night or on weekends. I got in touch with one of their representatives who explained to me that because I'm on a shared network, I will tend to experience some issues to due saturation as the device I'm using which is in automatic mode will always pick the most saturated network. Funny enough, some years back when I used the same isp on their 3G, such issues were rare even during the day. Now, I've come to the conclusion that my isp is probably screwing with us by putting some sort of limitation during the day and then blaming it on network saturation. Now I know that most of you will suggest to just switch to a better internet provider. Yes there are better ISP providers in my country but they are currently not available in my area. I do plan to move later on but as of right now, I don't have much of a choice. So, my question is, is there something that I can do on my end (router settings, network settings, etc) that I can do to help to improve the issue during the day, or should I just wait and hope that things get better (which i doubt they will) before I move to a location with a better ISP provider?

Solution
If you are using a wired connection from your computer to the LTE router, then you are getting all the performance possible. Any slowdowns are on the ISP side.

Yeah, I thought so. I was hoping there was something I could at least try on my side. anyways thanks for confirming it, now I'll stop wasting time trying to find a solution.
