Which CPU to get for streaming/ compatibility with current motherboard!

Hi, i've started streaming with a i5 3550 cpu and i often drop frames (playing games like PUBG BDO) , So im looking to upgrade my cpu, i would like to know if ryzen or i7 is the way forward? budget of around 300 pounds (i've heard from some people to wait it out but i would only like to push till end of August latest) .. also need to know if it will be compatible with my current motherboard - Asus P8Z77-V

Also i can get a brand new i7 6700k for 150 pounds, dunno if thats a good or not?

I would suggest getting a Ryzen, but unfortunately, you would have to upgrade your RAM and motherboard as well. You will need DDR4 RAM with at least 3000mhz and you would need a AM4 motherboard.

I don't know what the prices are like in the UK, but these components would be around $400 in the US. This would be a good setup for streaming:

I would agree with above poster, Ryzen is great for a streaming solution. If you want to keep your current motherboard and just upgrade your CPU, the best you can get is a 3770, but that might not be worth it, depending what you find it for in the UK.
