I recently bought a custom made PC and have only been using it for a good four days and it has run smoothly until now, after I did a windows update games are very laggy and will have black squares appearing on the screen. I have an integrated AMD Radeon HD 8370D graphics card installed on it and I can't seem the nail down the source of the issue, I'm not much of a PC expert so the voice of experience would be very helpful and appreciated.

You should be able to run pretty much anything on source engine (HL2 TF2 CS:Souce... I have one of those chips laying around. If your getting artifacts make sure your ram is stable and that your GPU clock is stock. Also when I got mine it had its TDP set to 35w by default, It needs 65w...

What type of games are you playing? The two most important things to PC gaming are your CPU and GPU. Both of yours are pretty weak. It's great to have a 2TB hard drive and 16GB of RAM, but if you are playing high end games you're going to need a few upgrades.

No matter what game I open there's a lot of lag and particularly on valve games like Half Life 2 and Team Fortress 2 black boxes will appear on the main menu, games that had run very smoothly before. At first I assumed it was an issue with Steam but I had tried to play Kerbal Space Program and the menu was very laggy and unplayable.
