Hello everyone, I bought a MSI GTX 1080 Gaming X to replace my GTX 970. Here are my current specs in a short way:
Graphics Card - MSI GTX 1080 Gaming X
CPU - I5 4690K (No OC)
RAM - 16 GB
Monitor - 60hz
Now to the question, I know that my CPU is far behind from the new ones but nonetheless I don't really have enough money to get a new mobo, CPU nor a 144hz monitor, maybe I'll be upgrading my i5 to a i7 4790, or overclock my current CPU. The thing is, I would like to know if based on your experience if these FPS results are okay for my Rig, or if there's any bottleneck happening that I'm unware off.
Games Tested (All With Vsync OFF and Maxed Out)
In Game resolution - 1080p (1920x1080)
Battlefield 1 - FPS - 80 ~ 100 (Sometimes it drops to 58, I've read that BF1 is really CPU intensive).
PUBG - 70 ~ 94
Sniper Elite V4 - 94 ~ 120
GTA V - Vsync ON - 60 ~61 (sometimes it dips to 58) Without Vsync the FPS gets all jumpy and it lags)
BTW, I'm using a Global profile Setting on NVIDIA's Control Panel with Pre Rendered Frames set to 2, it improved a lot my performance in games, but I'm not sure if these FPS results are okay for this resolution, compared to other benckmarks out there.
FYI - CPU Temps - Mostly 60C when gaming
GPU Temps - Mostly 68C
Appreciated for your help.
Fabio
