I have been having an issue with the new monitor i just got (Samsung). My issue is; i first purchased an LG monitor 144hz 1ms response time, all the res and refresh was immediately visible and avail.on PC for adjustment,. I have decided to upgrade to the Samsung, thus my issue began when its locked at 60hz and not 100hz, i have tried many troubleshooting to solve the problem and unable to increase or see it in display or NCP. alll around fixes with drivers,display port,NCP,regcleaner ect.
I7 3770 LGA @3.5 Ghz
samsung curved Qdot, CF34791, 100hz 4ms
Nvidia gtx 660
i know i am due for an upgrade on the video card.
Would my card be the issue unable to see opt for 100hz refresh rate on pc?, even thought the LG monitor gave me 144hz, this rez was 2k.

I was told by a shop tech that the monitor specs should be recognizable to PC regardless of card and that the 100hz should have been as visible, plug n play.
any advise would be much appreciated.
