I have recently bought (https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B01GCAW1IA/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1)

But im not too sure on how it should preform. I have done some 3dmark test on it and would like some opinions, like if i should return the card and get a better one.

Firestrike (Not oc) : http://www.3dmark.com/3dm/21092252

Firestrike (OC) : http://www.3dmark.com/3dm/21105677

OC settings : https://gyazo.com/59065677d32a7a1decfcf7d081066c74 (Can i have some opinions on this aswell as im new to overclocking)

Generally they are all the same. How much OC is dependent on the chip itself.

However, do note the G1 while has a custom PCB and rather decent cooling system on VRM,is quite limited power wise. This is a budget GTX 1080, I have one, it has only 1 x 8 pin so it's very close to FE in term of power. From my own experience voltage and power is the limiting factor for this model.

Also it's likely you get Micron VRAM, not very good for Overclocking. I had on mine and it can leads to bsod or black screen when I increase memory clock to +600 and above.

Overall I'm impressed with the card. It was one of the cheapest GTX 1080 when I got it, as gigabyte was having discount on the model. It was...

as above, performing well in what you'll use it for is the most important thing

the problem with 3dmark, is that all of the top results are from people that have significantly OCd the GPU and CPU

a quick look at the top 174 results with the 6700K and they're all over 20000, in 174th has their CPU clocked at 4.8ghz

Your OC looks pretty good. Mine is very similar on my Strix 1080 and it performs like a champ. Your card is going at over 2100 mghz.. That's pretty good.

I also have a 6700k and I gave mine a light OC to 4.6. It runs games like a champ. In fact, I haven't met anything it could not handle well...

So on your system, I think you are pushing it about as hard as your GPU will go. I would either enjoy it, or upgrade to a 1080ti if it is not enough for you. You might want to upgrade your ram as well... I'm running Trident Z 3200 and it runs like a champ. It is also on sale frequently...

But I digress. I think your system is good. :)

I was thinking about returning it to get a 1080 strix, How well does yours perform?

Mine does really well... But similar to yours... I think mine does +160 on the chip and +600 on the mem. I can go a little higher, but I always like to see what I can do, then back it off a bit... when I'm running Heaven or Furmark it comes in a 2126 mhz. It never get's above 66c either so I'm happy...

I have the advanced version, not the OC. From what I understand, the difference is that Asus OC's on the other and I didn't want to pay 100 bucks more for that...

I'm completely satisfied with the card... I dig it... I know there are faster cards out there, but mine can tackle anything on ultra settings so far... I play at 1080 though. I do see that it does start to struggle with 4k but enver gets below 30 fps, which is my minimum for playability IMO. If you game there, you might need something faster...

Hope that helps...

I think you're doing better than me then... I ran BF1 today... Got about 90 fps... When I changed it to 4k it dropped to about 25, which is not playable in my opinion.

If you are getting 90 to 120, you're doing pretty good.

Edit: I did run firestrike and edded up with a score of 18447 for what it is worth...

Overall I'm impressed with the card. It was one of the cheapest GTX 1080 when I got it, as gigabyte was having discount on the model. It was even cheaper than many turbo/FE model. For the lower price e, lower power consumption and relatively short length I say this is a budget champ.
