Hello,

I was wondering whether 2GB of VRAM is good enough to play recent titles at 1080p or if 3GB + is required.

Any help is appreciated.

As sizzling says, these days you should be looking at 4GB minimum on any cards for future proofing (1080p).
I do use a 3GB 1060 and ive not reached its limit, but i dont play overwatch on more than high anyway (1440p).
so yes, 2Gb is ok for older games (and 720p), BUT if youre looking for more recent ones at 1080p and possible future ones, you want 3+GB (4GB better)

if you dont mind playing on less than 'high' settings 2GB is more than enough, even some recent games on high may only take 2GB.
More importanly, what GPU is it? because that could really be the deciding factor.

computer specs help everyone help you !

I was looking at getting the AMD RX 460 2GB as I have found it at a cheap price. I currently have a 720p monitor, but may be getting a 1080p monitor soon.

My current specs:
AMD Athlon X4 860k
AMD R7 360 [FAULTY]
8gb DDR3 1866MHz
Cooler Master B500 500W PSU

You will be happier in the long run with more than 2GB of Graphics memory.
