What's the difference between the Zotac 1080 ti Amp! Edition and the Zotac 1080 ti Amp Extreme Core Edition?

I'll soon be getting a Zotac 1080 ti and was planning on the Amp Extreme till I found out that there are two variations. The title of this post really says it all and I was just curious as to which one is better for performance (sound and temp out of the equation). There's also the ArcticStorm Variation that I recently found out about and was wondering how that stacks up to the better of the previously mentioned two. Sorry if I respond late and thank you in advanced if I personally forget to do so!

Solution
Also the Amp Extreme is 325mm long due to three fans vs. the two-fan Amp at 300mm. That might need to be taken into consideration as well. Personally, I would not find the extra $40USD worth going with the Extreme.
The Articstorm you need a water pump, rad, etc. It's meant to patch into a water cooling loop.

From the Zotac site

AMP
Engine Clock Base: 1569 MHz
Boost: 1683 MHz
Ram: 11GHZ

Amp Extreme
Engine Clock Base: 1607 MHz
Boost: 1721 MHz
RAM: 11.2GHZ

The core Extreme is faster out of the gate. It will perform slightly better. If mine is bigger than yours is important to you, than get the best. IF the price difference is huge, a few FPS won't matter either way with about the current most powerful GPU out there.

Just from a look at the specs on Newegg, it looks like the "Extreme Core" edition has a slightly higher overclock. The regular Amp edition has a 1.569 GHz core clock and 1.683 GHz boost, while the Extreme Core is clocked at 1.607 core and 1.721 boost. That works out to a little over 2% difference in clock rates between the two, and probably not more than a 2% difference in actual performance.

They also have a somewhat different cooler. The regular Amp's cooler has two 100mm fans, while the Extreme Core's has three 90mm fans, which might potentially help provide better cooling. It also appears to have some LED lighting.

There also appears to be another one, called "Extreme" (not "Extreme Core") that has even higher clocks, 1.645 core, 1.759 boost, which is clocked about another 2% higher still, with the same cooler as the Extreme Core, but it's out of stock at Newegg.

The Arctic Storm appears to be equipped with a water block to connect with water cooling setups, but it's clocked lower than all of them, at least by default. Given adequate cooling, all these cards could probably overclock to similar levels though, so the main difference is probably the cooler they come with.

So Amp Extreme for performance, since price isn't an issue currently, thanks for the numbers, really helps someone who is still learning a lot of about computers like me!

I checked the fittings and asked around previously if the length would be an issue, it would if I had the second cage up-top installed in my Fractal Design R5 but thankfully I don't need it. Thanks for the heads-up and suggestion!

I should have asked for the comparison of the regular Extreme as well in the post, and was thinking about making an edit but saw that you already addressed the issue for me. Looks like the regular extreme will be the option I'm going for, thanks for laying out the numbers and basically fixing my error!
