Should I overclock? If so, how?

Hello! I have a MSI GE62 (Gaming Laptop) and Im recieving a lot of stuttering even though my fps is at 50-60 fps most of the time. So I thought about overclocking and Im not sure how to start because I've never done it before. Here are my specs:

Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-6700HQ CPU @ 2.60GHz, 2601 Mhz, 4 Core(s), 8 Logical Processor(s)

RAM: 8Gb
GPU: GTX 960M 4GB

If I'm going to overclock, what software should I use, MSI Afterburner? I've heard of another one called the EVGA Precision so I don't know which one to use. And if you are experienced with OC, what should my settings be for overclocking? Thanks!

Although MSI laptops are pretty well build (owns a MSI GT60 2OD) do not overclock it. These laptops are built close to the edge, most time I have to run the fan turbo boost to keep everything cool while gaming leaving very little room if at all to OC. Plus being a laptop and everything being crammed inside it already struggles to stay cool
