Can't access the router configuration page via 192.168.1.1

I have a router provided by my isp, it is a combined router/modem.
When I try to access the router page via 192.168.1.1 it just sits there and loads, nothing happens. I can ping the same IP and get all the packets back without any problem at 1ms delay. I have perfect internet access and can access websites.

I can't get the model number from the router at this point in time as it is in someones bedroom and they're sleeping, though I will check back and post the make and model number as soon as I can.

I have tried with restarting my router and it has made the router configuration page work for a couple of days but then it just goes back into this "locked" mode. I have tried accessing it with several different devices, windows 10 desktops, a win 7 dekstop, a pc running linux, my phone and somebody else's phone but the problem persists.

I have no idea what to do about it as I need to access that page daily but don't want to have to restart it every time it goes locked.

Please help!

ouch I dislikes gateways provided by the ISP, cause even if you can access it, theyre very limited.
You sure your gateway ip is 192.168.1.1? depending on the model some are different. should check with ipconfig /all on cmd.

Yes, the gateway is 192.168.1.1, I checked just now to make sure. I am at this point considering getting a new router and just using the modem part of the ISP provided one as I can't have internet without it.

I've tried both wired connections, one through a switch and one with a "direct" connection to the router and I've also tried with smartphones running one on the 2.4 and the other on the 5 bands.
