I am now using the Sandy Bridge H61MA-D2V and i5-2400.
I also have the latest beta Bios.
I want to upgrade the cpu to e3-1230 v2 for future VR gaming.
But when I look for the CPU support list http://www.gigabyte.com.au/Motherboard/GA-H61MA-D2V-rev-20#support-cpu
It support Ivy Bridge cpu, but there are no Xeon v2 series cpu listed.
I look for other H61 chipset of gigabyte, The Xeon v2 series also is not included in the list.
I worry about Does it support E3-1230 v2 for Gigabyte H61 chipset?
I have seen other brand (e.g. Asus) H61 support Xeon v2, are there anything special for gigabyte?
Thank you in advance for any replies!
PS: or Should I buy e3-1280 v1 instead? the price is similar for second-hand cpu
