so i got a dell precision m7710 with a i7-6920hq, no overclocking in bios, so i was wondering can i use a setfsb or something, i use to do that to my old athlon 64 x2 4400 and my core 2 duos till i switch to k cpu's on desktops. And im trying to get my render performance pass my 4.4ghz 4770k

That precision laptop is nice, and is built to last, but wasnt designed for overclocking. Its pretty rare to overclock on a laptop since the cooling envelope is pretty tight in the chasis, even if you had a gaming rig. Even if you figure out how to do it on this rig, you will not have much headroom to ratchet up the CPU before you run into problems.

first off i never had a warranty to begin with lol, yea i thought since i had a top of the line 6 gen extreme cpu it'll be someway to overclock it,and temps not a issue. this laptop got a pretty good cooling setup 3 copper pipe, hardly went over 80c when 100% rendering for hrs.
