I'm planning on overclocking my 1700x later today and I have a couple questions. I'm new to overclocking so a lot of these things are new to me. Do I set the voltage to manual or offset? And do I enable load like calibration? And if yes, which level?

My motherboard is an Asus crosshair vi hero and I'm using a Noctua nhd15 for cooling so I'm going to try to hit 4.0.

Thanks.

Solution
Set the voltage to manual, and set LLC to high in order to keep voltages tight.
4.0 usually requires a 1.4v-1.425v voltage application, and can be hard to get.
Start off at 1.35v 3.8GHz and see how you go from there. :)

Alright I'll try it later today and see how it goes. I'm going to try and OC the ram as well since mine is rated at 3200mhz and Ryzne benefits from faster ram speeds. If I'm able to OC I'm going to run cinebench a few times then Aida64 for a few hours(4-6) then try and play some bf1 and hope I don't get any crashes.
