Solution

As i said there is absolutely no reason to do that if you have a dedicated GPU. furthermore if you are attempting to use a dedicated card and the integrated graphics at the same time that is not possible.

But if you insist simply open up the BIOS when booting while plugged into the dedicated card. change your integrated graphics settings to primary save turn off the computer switch the cable and reboot
Well its most likely one of two things
1: your CPU does not have integrated graphics.
2: your integrated graphics are selected as tghe second option so when you boot plugged into the Mobo it is still working fine just on the GPU.

now why you want to use the integrated graphics instead of a dedicated card i have no idea.

hi Sorry for this stupid question. Do you mean to say that even if I, for instance, enable multi display option in BIOS, I wont be able to "really enable" both display at the same time?

sys: ASUS TUF z270 mk 1, i7 7700K, Win10
