Weird mic sound

My mic just gives out static nothing else. My mic has done this for a week now. i use a sound adapter ( it shows "USB Audio Device" in the device manager.) that has a mic and audio port cause my headset has 2 cables and just plug both cables in the sound adapter.
I have tried many different things like:
-Reinstalling Drivers
-Restarting my pc
-Smashing my headset on my table.

If i could get any potential fixes it would be much appreciated.

Its possibly picking up reverberation from an outside sound or something inside your headset. Try changing your audio and voice settings in your control panel or the application you use to speak (ex. skype, discord). If that does not work it could be something with your USB, USB microphones are very picky when it comes to what is plugged in and the specific output and input going through the headset and computer itself.
