So as said in the title the screen on the monitor goes black when i launch almost all the games. The monitor doesnt turn off cause i can see the led of the monitor. Restarting the monitor does help but i would still like to find a better solution than turning my monitor on and off averytime i play a game. This starting happening since i got my new gpu (gtx 1060 6gb), my old one was just intel hd 630. I got the latest drivers and all but still ill appriciate some help

Thank in advance

Solution
Issue with using two GPUs drivers is pretty common. I know in some games it will even try to default to the integrated GPU instead and give you really bad performance or it will simply clash with the existing GPU and cause game crashes.

Remove all the drivers and only reinstall the 1060 drivers as a test. See how it goes.

You can always download but not install the drivers for the hd630. That way if you ever need to use it, just install the drivers and go from there.

Yes its plugged into the 1060 otherwise i couldnt play games like gta 5, just cause 3...Its connected via hdmi and yes its the only display im using. Might be cause this monitor has freesync (i bought the monitor first and i wanted to buy an rx580 but i found none in stock for a month so i bought the 1060) even tho i have freesync turned off on the monitor.

I've had a similar issue with a few games like COH2. When going into full screen mode it would just display a black screen.

I found out later that my remote desktop software (teamviewer) was causing the issues. Try to close all your programs from automatically starting and test that way to see if it resolves any issues. If it does, turn each one on one at a time to see which one is causing the issues.

Also when you installed your new card, did you remove you old cards drivers? You may want to run http://www.guru3d.com/files-details/display-driver-uninstaller-download.html and reinstall using only your new cards drivers.

Also, are you using any types of display adaptors? Sometimes their drivers can cause odd display issues as well.

Well i didnt remove the old drivers since they are from intel integrated graphics (hd630) and i might use this gpu when the 1060 might stop working (hopefully never). But thanks ill try everything you said and see of it works, will let you know.
