I have used an Lp4 to 6 pin connecting my GPU to the power supply. Do you think it might be insufficient power? Should I get a new cable? what is the 8 pin slots on my PSU, would they go into my GPU with an 8 to 6 pin. I have never connected a GPU to my power supply, I have only used lower graphics cards that don't need a separate power connection.

Using an adapter of this type is almost never recommended. We need to know your exact PSU. If it doesn't have any PCIE connectors -- it's hard to tell exactly what you have as your text is very difficult to read -- it's probably not really a 600W power supply.

That PSU comes with both a 6-pin and a 6+2-pin PCI connector.

Thanks. I bought it as a build and didn't receive the connectors. This is what I need I think https://www.moddiy.com/products/Be-Quiet%21-Premium-Sleeved-PCIe-8%252dPin-to-6%252dPin-Cable-%2860cm%29.html A male 8-pin, to connect to my psu pcie socket, and a male 6-pin to connect to my gpu. The molex to 6-pin must have not got enough power maybe?

You need the cable that goes with the PSU or a retailer that sells one specifically compatible with that. Those modular PCIE cables are not standardized on both ends, hooking up one intended for very specific Be Quiet! PSUs that it lists in another PSU could fry your system unless the pinouts just happen to be identical. PCIE cables are only standardized at the GPU end, not the PSU end. Look for one specific to the OCZ, something like this:

https://www.moddiy.com/products/OCZ-Modular-PSU-8%252dPin-to-6%252b2-PCIe-Sleeved-Cable.html

I'd also complain to where you purchased the build. It's standard to include *all* the parts of the components that are installed, to keep situations like this from happening.

Yes, the power supply your using is semi modular, which means you should attach other power cables as needed. It should come with some power cables that are labeled PCI-E. You should only use the PCI-E power cables with the graphics card and no others.

Thank you. There are no labels on the pre-connected cables. There is a spare cable which may be my PCI-E, it has 8 pins though, and my gpu needs 6.
