mix ram 800 mhz 2gb ddr2 and ram 667 mhz 1gb ddr2 in G31m VS motherboard

I have 667 mhz 1gb ddr2 ram installed on asrock G31m- VS motherboard. now i brought 800 mhz 2gb ddr2 to increase the memory. but when i installed it on motherboard it only showing 2gb 667 mhz ram. please tell me how to use both ram simultaneously.

First re-test 1GB 667MHz alone, then re-test the 2GB 800MHz alone. If both is detecting as 1GB and 2GB, then memory is fine.

Next install the 2GB in 1st slot, and 1GB in 2nd slot. The speed will operate at 667MHz when you mix two speeds (667MHz and 800MHz). But the total should be above 2GB.
