Factory Resetting HDD

So long story short, I added another 3TB drive to my system for a backup and accidentally formatted it as MBR, and I can't change it back as even with all partitions removed.
It shows up naturally in MBR as 500MB for the system (can't remove), 2.1TB (The max for the format) and the remainder. The last two are formatted, but the option is still greyed out.
I believe the 'system reserved' 500MB partition is preventing this, so I'm thinking just a straight factory reset will allow me to reconfigure it.
Thoughts?

launch the cmd

--> commands in the following order

1 diskpart

2 list disk

3 select disk # ( # the disk u want to reformat)

4 clean ( cant be undone)

you now have got an empty drive you can format ( recommand ntfs)

That damn system file reservation is causing issues again...

"Virtual Disk Service error:
Clean is not allowed on the disk containing the current boot,
system, pagefile, crashdump or hibernation volume."

The OS isn't installed on that drive, but there's still a system reservation in disk manager I can't get rid of through actions, even though the other partitions are formatted.

Any potential danger?
That message usually should only pop up when OS is on that drive, I don't want to brick my system.
Note that's currently my only officially labelled system reserved partition on the system.

Damn that's some good software, ignore what I just said, I could convert straight to GPT right off the bat with it!

Man windows disk manager is useless...
I'll let you know how it goes, it's wiping and converting now.

Yes you can check by disconnecting your main drive, if it boots than youve got a problem

I think I was mainly thinking given there's a system reservation whether that would stuff a small part of Windows, my boot drive is the 850 Evo.
Pretty sure its fine since i'm 20% through converting it and the system's still running.

As it turns out, what I learned last night is 'don't rearrange your directories and folders at 4am after a night out'.

Hopefully Startup repair should work without stuffing any data around, hoping that just recognizes and replaces the boot data.

Fixed it all up about 45 ago, pain in the arse, had to manually rebuild the boot manager etc.
Learning skills I guess....

needed to be done anyways, you moved your boot to a new hdd and formatted and locked it up in a very secure way.
