Hi all,

I have recently build my first ever computer, pretty much for the sole purpose of gaming. It's as follows:

Mobo: MSI Z270 Xpower Gaming Titanium
CPU: Intel Core i7-7700K 4.2GHz Quad-Core
GPU: EVGA GeForce GTX 1080 8GB Superclocked Gaming ACX 3.0
RAM: Corsair Vengeance LPX 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR4-3000
PSU: Corsair HX750i 80+ Platinum
CPU FAN: Noctua NH-U14S 55.0 CFM
CASE: Corsair 750D Airflow Edition ATX Full Tower

Here is is: https://pcpartpicker.com/b/ZdHhP6

And here is a picture: http://imgur.com/a/42A1R

As you can see from the picture, I have had to rotate the radiator / fan 90 degrees clockwise for it to fit, otherwise it would touch the GPU, which is in the PCIE 16x slot. This has opened an new issue in that the first RAM slot is now unusable. Luckily I only currently have 2 sticks, which are in the correct slots (2 and 4). The rig has already been improved compared to when I originally assembled it as I've done a lot of cable management (it looked like messy spaghetti). Now I am thinking of moving toward liquid cooling to open up the space, and the case is designed for that (liquid cooling radiator can be screwed to the top of the case). So that's my next improvement.

Beyond that, I am not entirely sure how well balanced it is, as in CPU vs GPU power (I've read that one can hold the other back?), RAM, etc... What improvements would you suggest (if any)?

Any suggestions are welcome :)

no I made a mistake you want the NF A14 FLX or PWM , those will fit.

Your motherboard is pretty insanely overkill, Win 10 Pro isn't necessary for a gaming rig, the case is overpriced, the cooler is aight, and the PSU is overpriced, a good gold rated option would have cost you far less, and all these would have allowed for a 1080 Ti.
You can always use EVGA's stepup program and pay the difference though! :)

Would the Noctua fans be for the H110?

My thought process here was that the mobo would be future and feature proof if I decided I wanted additional things, Win 10 Pro wasn't so much for gaming but for the additional control and security that it allows. For the PSU, I was also thinking of future proofing to potentially add a second GPU in SLI and keep it efficient / quiet.
I'll have a look at EVGA's program, thanks for letting me know!

Yes it does have 4 x16 slots, but only supports x16/x0/x0/x4, x8/x0/x8/x4, x8/x4/x4/x4 modes, with slot 1 being the only which support x16 speed.

I've seen benchmarks that said otherwise, although it is negligible. In any case, this won't be an issue once I move to liquid cooling which will have a much smaller footprint on the CPU.
