Amazing motherboard, will easily handle your CPU, easy to overclock on, I have one and I love it to death, and MSI seem to be right on the ball with bios updates for it too:

2 x M.2 slots, 6 sata ports, loads of VRMs to contend with heavy loads, shielded slots, 2 x USB3 headers, great on-board audio, and RGB effects.

Forget Gigabyte, they currently make the worst AM4 boards going, simple google search will confirm that.

MSI already have the next beta out for that board after AGESA 1.0.0.6.

Gigabyte are at the bottom, ASRock and MSI are the top 2 where AM4 is concerned, closely followed by ASUS.

Fast forward to 25:50 if you just want to hear his conclusion, he covers all major board manufacturers through the whole video, and at the beginning he states all the tests he ran to come to his conclusion, feel free to argue it with him if you like: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZGrxhf_xZWI

Maybe msi finally learned there lesson and changed their ways.

It's not like me to run down gigabyte, I've always been a gigabyte fan boy, especially where there Intel sniper series of boards were concerned, I loved them, but I've had 2 of their am4 boards and would never buy another one.

Msi on the other hand, I've not had one of their boards since the Amd Athlon xp days, but after I brought the b350m mortar, which was the best looking of the matx boards at Ryzen release, I was sceptical about buying it, but was totally impressed, which is why I brought the gaming pro carbon x370, love it too, using both now.
