I'm building my friends PC, but PCPartPicker said that: The Patriot - Viper 3 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR3-1600 Memory operating voltage of 1.5V exceeds the Intel Kaby Lake-S CPU recommended maximum of 1.35V+5% (1.417V). This memory module may run at a reduced clock rate to meet the 1.35V voltage recommendation, or may require running at a voltage greater than the Intel recommended maximum.

What does that mean, the CPU I'm using is a intel i5-7400. I just want to know if I could use them together and if It would be ok and what would happen.

It just means that the ram uses a little bit more power than intel feels safe sending to the ram so the mobo might downclock the ram to meet spec, or the mobo might send more power to the ram. This should not damage anything, but it may reduce the lifetime of your parts. I have found a affordable set of ram that has the same spec as the ram in your build but it uses the amount of power that intel thinks is safe. You dont need this but its nice to be safe then sorry, and this ram costs nearly the same anyways: https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820226693. Put this ram in your pcpartpicker list and it should remove the incompatibility warning. Good Luck!

See I'm just using that to see if the ram in this: http://www.microcenter.com/product/469425/Envy_750-267c_Desktop_Computer_Refurbished would work in that build, should of said that earlier but do you know if the ram in this machine would work with my cpu?
