I just found out that my new PC is underperforming in all games. I initialy thought it was the graphics processing unit which was my gtx 1080 but then i tested it out and it is fine. So i keep searching and searching until i gave up. Just today i did an aida 64 stress test, to test my cpu. To my suprise all cores are running at 1550 Megahertz on full LOAD in the aida 64 stress test. So this might have caused the huge bottleneck between my gtx 1080 and the ryzen 5 1500x. Can anyone explain why this happens and what is the solution. I have turned windows 10 to high performance mode so i still dont know why this is happening.

Full PC SPECS:

Graphics Card:inno3d Gtx 1080 Ichill x4 \

Did you happen to use the auto overclock (really any overclock setting) in the BIOS? My B350M Mortar Arctic cut my clock speed in half when I tried using their built in overclock profiles and the only way to fix it was to reflash the BIOS and overclock using the Ryzen Master utility in Windows.

It also wouldn't hurt to download the AMD power profile for Ryzen as well but this is unrelated to your problem.

yes it was on auto clock settings in the bios, and i tried changing it but it cant start up after i changed it to 3500 which is weird

I also tried using Ryzen master utility and it says that my core clock speed is only 1.55 ghz and then i tried bringing it back up to 3.5 ghz and restarted. Then it still says that its in 1.55 ghz speed which is weird. Is my CPU a defect or is it fake or have i not set it correctly yet?

For a CPU to operate at lower clock frequency at idle on the desktop or when not under a high load is TOTALLY NORMAL. This has been part of the power saving features in modern CPUs since the socket A days. You could get a mobile Athlon XP and step it through 3 states of performance to save power and heat.

You want to put it under a full load and see if it speeds up to higher clock speeds. Something like ASUS Realbench is a good tool to use to stress test a Ryzen CPU. It should pop up to full speed under that load.

Also see what kind of CPU the BIOS detests. this will help determine if fake or not.

If it is still running this low in games, reset the BIOS to optimized defaults and re-test. Some Ryzen MoBo BIOS' are still wonky, but improving.

but it wasnt on idle it was using the aida64 stress test and it stayed 1.55 ghz all the way.
