Keyboard layout keeps changing

I recently bought a blackwidow chroma in a german layout, but every once in a while it keeps changing the layout from english to german, even though english is my main language and the us layout is the main layout, however, in the language preferences next to the clock in the taskbar, it says that there are two keyboard layouts, DEU (german) and ENG (US). BUT in the settings there is only one keyboard layout.

Things to consider:

1) Reinstall the drivers via the manufacturer's website. Ensure that you install English drivers.

2) Check to see if there is some combination of key presses that switch from English to German or vice versa.
Especially if you are gaming and have programmed keys accordingly. The programmed key combination may mimic the switch.

3) Any automatic driver updates? The updates may be forcing a return to German (default) vs. English.

I have firgured it out! It turns out that everytime i open razer synapse, the layout changes, since this keyboard was originally the german layout, Synapse detects it as german and changes it to that layout. I will see if reinstalling synapse will do the trick.

If it still doesn't work, SHIFT + CTRL changes the layout too.
