Greetings
So today i was playing CSGO and all of a sudden i get a gray screen, Mouse unresponsive, keyboard commands dont work and generally a state of freeze. So i reset my pc uninstalled drivers and when i install the same exact one during the installation i get the same screen and freeze i tried every single driver from 2016-17 still the same. I took the gpu out of the pc even formatted my whole pc still the same when having the hd 4600 from my cpu is works fine could be the card to have passed away or my psu cause i reseatted the ram sticks and they are not the case even checked bent pins. Psu could be at fault but it boots normally and only freezes during driver install and sometimes the gray screen has some kind of squares and artifacts like in those retro games from '80. Any help is appreciated but an answer would be welcomed.
I5 4690
8gb ram 2x4 1600
hd 7850 1gb(rip)
msi b85m g43
coolermaster b500 ver2
Planning to get a 1050ti if gpu is at fault.

that's a pretty average psu and you're pushing it with the set-up. it's possible the psu is not happy with you for it.

testing the gpu in another machine will give you the info you need. if it works, you know it's the psu. it if does not work, then you know it's the gpu.

sure sounds like the gpu is the problem. do you have a spare you can test with? or a spare pc you can put it into and see what happens?
this is the best way to check it out by putting a different one in and/or testing yours in another system.

you did not mention what psu you have so can't make any assumptions there. you started with coolermaster but then repeat the mobo model.
