Hello all, I'm looking to start developing video games using Unreal Engine 4.

My current specs:
AMD FX-6300
8GB DDR3 RAM
1TB HDD
120GB SSD
Integrated Radeon HD 3000 graphics (they're crap)

I'm looking to buy a dedicated graphics card for use with UE4 development. I'm looking at the following deals on used cards:
R9 270 $80
GTX 770 $100
GTX 750 Ti $60
GTX 660 Ti $100
R9 280x $170
R9 280 $150
HD 7950 $130
HD 7970 $100
GTX 780 Ti $140

Which one of these is a good deal and would provide ample performance for running and developing in UE4? Thanks.

What motherboard do you have that's running Radeon HD3000? The FX doesn't have an iGPU, so must be an onboard graphics core..... haven't heard of them for a while.

As for UE4, you're going to be looking at a balance of CPU cores and raw GPU power. Given that, the best GPU in that list is a 780TI. With a 280X a relatively close second. The 780TI represents a better value for money though.

It's a 760 chipset motherboard, Gigabyte GA-78LMT-USB3. The graphics struggle to have more than 10 tabs open at once.

Yeah, I was thinking of getting the 780 Ti... I might try MSI Afterburner too, see if I can get some more performance out of it.
