I will be using my computer for causal gaming, movies, and typical web browsing. I'm currently playing Black Desert Online.

I shopped around and the prices are all over the place, i'm not sure what to buy. Originally I was looking to spend under $400 on a good card but that might not be an option with the price spikes.

What would you recommend? Thanks for any help.

Edit: Ill be using my old monitor for now and eventually upgrade. ASUS VH242H Black 23.6" 5ms HDMI Full 1080P Widesc

If you are just doing casual gaming ang nothing too hardcore a gtx 1060 6gb would be perfect, it maxes just about every game in 1080p 60fps, shop around on the internet just the other day i found one for normal price which is around $300 but if you dont plan on playing like gta v or anything like that then a 1050ti could do the job and they're $150 but the 1060 6gb is much better depends on how you feel and what you'd like to spend.

Are you suggesting to pick up an AMD Vega or wait to see if the release effects the other cards prices?

I was originally budgeting for up to $400 on a card so i wouldn't mind getting the 1060 6gb at $300 if it will work well with the build, suit my needs, and the price isn't ridiculously inflated. Thanks

Damn, the GTX 1060 6gb isn't actually in stock. Best buy is saying "will ship when available". Looks like i'm still looking!

I saw that one but it feels like a downgrade for almost the same price.., the rocket league sounds sick though

trust me it'll do exactly the same as the other one, just without an extra fan but pc's now a days have superb cooling, i got stock everything and don't come close to even getting hot, even under heavy load
