Hello all.

I recently installed a Zotac 1050 Ti to my build which can be found here https://support.hp.com/ca-en/document/c03668430

After some research I found that the 1050ti only needed about 300W PSU so im confused why some more cpu intensive games are shutting off my pc. The only other part I changed in my pc was the cooler and that was to a Deep cool gammaxx 400. It says on the box for AMD socket that its 125W.

This pc is fairly old ablut 5-6 years at the very least. Can anyone shed some light as to whats going on?

Thanks.

When you changed your CPU cooler, did you make sure to properly clean the CPU prior to applying the new thermal compound in the correct position over the cores when you installed the new CPU cooler?

If the thermal compound was not applied correctly, the computer will start up, but automatically shut off when the CPU gets too hot.
