Hello Community!
I had really sad moment this week as my laptop (while playing youtube) lagged for a second and left this world and didn't want to turn on.
Lenovo Z510
i5-4200m
8GB (4GB x2) Ramaxel DDR3 1600MHz RAM
nVidia 740M (64-bit)
1TB(8GB SSHD) <- thank God it works
MoBo: NM-A181 AILZA Rev: 1.0
Warranty: ended last year

I ordered new motherboard and tried it.
Nope, when connecting AC power it turns itself on for a fraction of a second. Moves the fan a bit or rotates a few times and then turns off like it didn't happen.
Servicer checked the connection, RAM, power, etc. and says that the new motherboard is also dead(I have no idea and nerves to check that out). CPU wasn't tested as nobody has got the same socket or spare CPU.

Thermal paste is OK, connection is OK, AC is OK, battery is OK.

I have no equipment and knowledge for testing(unfortunately).

Anybody had the same problem or heard about it? Please help! :)

Regards,
Very Unlucky Man

Edit::

I ordered new motherboard within warranty terms. (It's going to be delivered on Monday)

Hi!
I've recieved new motherboard (the guy at the store ensured me it works). It turns on (for a fraction of a second last last time).
Another time it turns on, doesn't spin the fan (leds are turned on, battery shows it's connected and being charged). And nothing happens. Hard reset doesn't work either.

The question is if anyone knows if any of the another hardware parts are dead or something?

Regards!

I tried with one stick. Even exchanging them in places etc...
One guy at computer service told me that it might be dead motherboad (again ^_^).

Let's see what happens :)

Just got the info about the laptop. Yet another motherboard is dead. The question is: send that to service that lenovo marks as their official in Poland or buy a new laptop?

something is not right, either they are sending the same refurbished motherboard or something is causing the mobo to fail everytime...i want to add a thing, i had a similar problem with my inverter, where everytime my motherboard would fail after replacing with a new one. They replaced it 3 days in a row, but it failed everytime. Finally, had enough and bought a new inverter.
i say so because it seems something in your laptop is causing the motherboard to fail everytime... change the battery or the power cord and see if it fixes the issue.

Edit: i will suggest you to buy a new laptop or better a desktop, its just not worth the money, time or effort. See if you can sell this laptop...

I'll just gonna sell that in parts. It's not worth my nerves. I found some service that might attemp to repair the laptop but I don't really know if it's worth now or just give up.

Sorry for no answer for that long time, but just found a solution.

CPU failed and killed Motherboard as well.
(and I thought that CPUs are last to die... unfortunately)
