hey guys i need something to ask i try to overclock my cpu but when i go to the bios and cpu config i couldnt find any overclock option please somebody help me im using xtreme g41 btw and megatrend bios

The 95W CPU limit makes it difficult and limits your options. But depending on what CPU you have it can be done.
Without the BIOS you can do an FSB pinmod. This makes a jump about equal to 2x multipliers and needs more voltage to succeed. For many games a fast 2 core is better than a slower 4 core. So here goes.
#1 C2D are easiest. An E7500 11x266fsb acn be pinmodded to 3.66GHz 11x333, E7600 11.5x333=3.8GHz
Throttlestop software gives control of Voltage. It's free so you can test drive it.
#2 LGA771/775 mod. X5270 11.5x333 3.5GHz 80W go to Delidded.com if this interests you. There are 65W quad core Xeons there also. They have different CPU ID# so might not work,or need microcode updates. G41 is listed as compatible.
#3 X6800 Unlocked 2 core 266x11fsb base 65nm. Throttlestop gives control of volts and multiplier, but the older 65nm might not go any faster then the 45nm above. Quick and easy though. Add Volts, add Multiplier, add cooling, and repeat.
#4 If you need a Quad Q6700 10x266fsb (all are G0 stepping) BSEL mod to 3.33GHz. Since you're going above 95W here VRM heatsinks would be a good idea now.
#5 This is a gamble but sometimes chipsets have hidden support for higher bus speeds. I've seen a Dell Opti 780 at Userbenchmark.com running 3.6GHz base speed Q9650 (9x333fsb 3GHz.). This looks like a BSEL mod from 333fsb to 9x 400fsb. Costs almost nothing to try if you have a 1333fsb CPU.
#6 "Old Unreliable" SETfsb, Clockgen, etc. Software tweaking of bus speeds. Can work if you get more Volts. Messes with other timings. I think of it as "gravy" to use on top of other methods for a little extra.
There are hardwired VID pinmods. If you find the map for your original voltage, then find a voltage you like look for a VID map for the new Voltage and see what changes you need to map. Or pick a Voltage that requires few changes. This makes your O/C work in any OS.

I forgot there are LGA775 65W quads. "Q9550s" and "Q9505s" they're probaly supported by your chipset with the latest BIOS update you can get. They're expensive so I would try O/Cing something else first.
Don't let any experts tell you they won't overclock. Probably a waste of time unless you get a 400FSB pinmod going.
