So I've had to use a really old driver for my 290x for a long time. Anytime I try out the newest driver all sorts of problems occur making gaming basically impossible. I've tried the new driver every month for the past 3 months.
-Once I upgrade the driver I have grayed out 1920x1080 Resolution on desktop (unable to pick any other option)
-League of Legends will get to the load screen and say there is a DirectX error and close completely.
-Archeage wont even open most of the time.when it does it will open in a 600x400 window and will have zero resolution options at all.
-The only thing the driver does seem to fix is make Playerunknowns Battleground run perfectly, but even then there are very limited resolution options compared to the old driver.
I'm at a complete loss for what to do as it seems I'll never be able to upgrade my display drivers. Not sure what information would help, I have windows 7 64 bit. Both monitors are recognized in display settings with brand names. The card is also recognized in device manager.
