what it has to say of one xeon e5 2660 v2? I was wanting to buy one as desktop of entrance therefore I obtained to find in aliexpress for 275 dollars a kit.

It follows link of the announcement: https://pt.aliexpress.com/item/for-Intel-Xeon-X79-motherboard-CPU-RAM-combos-LGA-2011-E5-2660-C2-SR0KK-8-cores/32818896224.html?spm=a2g0s.13010208.99999999.264.zD8ApA

This kit folloies 4x4gb ddr3 ecc reg, mobo x76, xeon e5 2660 v2.
It would like to stand out that I go uses it to play games of the present time and to edit videos, to relieve and heavier things. I want everything this with maximum comfort without having that to worry me about problems in relation cpu. I have one gtx 1050ti and I intend to make upgrade soon.
Yes, my money is limited up to 305 dollars. I only can spend this in mobo + cpu. In this in case that, the kit brings me a benefit therefore not to need to spend with Memory ram.

The problem is less that it's ivy bridge, it's more that it's a Xeon E5 with more cores and lower clock speeds. This is definitely not optimal for gaming at all.

Then again, 300 bucks won't get you too much in terms of current gen PC bases. I think the best would probably be a 160$ Ryzen 5 1400 with a ~90$ B350 chipset mainboard and 8GB of value DDR4 ~60$, which would make 310$.
I believe this combo will deliver better gaming performance than what you posted, while giving a far better upgrade path in the future.
It will probably lack a bit in the video editing section tho... that's something the Xeon should be pretty good at. Then again, at the cost of gaming performance...

No it's not just that it's ib but a 3ghz speed skylake or kaby would still be tollerable in most cases. You add slow and old and you get garbage. I use a 3.5hz ivy i5 and it's showing its age pretty good that CPU likely runs 2.5-2.7 loaded up multicore

Xeons are great work horses for servers and content creators due to the extra cores. However, I would never recommend one for gaming. They are normally lower clock speeds then todays desktop CPUs are and can be more costly. Even the motherboards with features you may want will cost twice as much. not to mention the limited amount of boards compatible with Xeons that are not server grade boards...

Just go with a standard desktop CPU. It will perform better for gaming and least longer in terms of relevance for gaming.

what it intervenes with the games the “lower speeds of clock”? I was surprised for the price and the punctuation of benchmark beating the 11,000, not even i7 of 4 generation beats these points. It would like to stand out that this desktop would be one support for edition therefore would only mount another one desktop to play. For the time being it would use for games and it would like to make everything without estressar me. After one 3 years it would mount one another one only for games.

Thanks a lot for the tip of these tips friend, this will be very useful for me really. I will analyze the tip well that you gave to me.

Everything about an i7 7700k out classes a Xeon in terms of gaming.

Just because the Xeon has more lanes and cache, doesn't mean it is faster. That is older technology and in terms of simple specs... well.

http://cpu.userbenchmark.com/Compare/Intel-Xeon-E5-2660-v2-vs-Intel-Core-i7-7700K/m13068vs3647

I've checked it with quite a few older gen CPUs from that page... the desktop CPU version basically still out classes it in almost every dept.

In gaming single core speed is important. We are not at the point yet where games are properly using all cores. This is why core speed will outclass number of cores for gaming any day. At least until they learn to program better APIs for gaming. This is where the new direct x and vulkan cames into play, but its still not there yet.
