Why is this monitor so much cheaper refurbished?

Refurbished means that it isn't new and that it went through the necessary checks to make sure the components were good or that it had parts replaced or fixed to work like it's new but it is still used. That's why it's cheaper. If it didn't come with a warranty or guarantee of some kind then that can make it even cheaper. It also has a lower lifespan expectancy because it's not new.
